Change is inevitable, and the WWE 2K24 roster is sure to look plenty different from what fans had to work with last year. Some of the biggest names you're used to seeing in the franchise will be gone for the first time, but others are due to arrive after years away.
There were well over 200 playable characters in the game last year, and the WWE 2K24 roster is likely to bring back the bulk of that group along with some new additions. Here, we're breaking down everything we know so far about the WWE 2K24 roster.
Updated January 29: A new WWE 2K24 devs interview has teased a major MyFACTION change that would have the potential to massively expand the roster. Naomi and Andrade also returned at the Royal Rumble, but there's no word yet on if they'll make the launch roster.
Confirmed WWE 2K24 Roster
We'll get into when the full WWE 2K24 roster reveal is expected below along with predictions on some of who will and won't be a part of that, but the announcement of WWE 2K24 has already revealed several superstars we'll see this year.
Here is every single confirmed WWE 2K24 roster member so far:
- Cody Rhodes
- Bianca Belair
- Rhea Ripley
- Andre the Giant
- Steve Austin
- Hulk Hogan
- Brock Lesnar
- The Undertaker
- The Rock
- John Cena
- Bret Hart
- Triple H
- Shawn Michaels
- Becky Lynch
- Charlotte Flair
- Roman Reigns
- Karrion Kross
- Asuka
- Batista
- Kurt Angle
- Randy Savage

- Kevin Owens
This is surely only scratching the surface, but all of these superstars have been mentioned directly by 2K, featured in cover art, spotted in the trailer, or seen in screenshots for WWE 2K24. Mick Foley is also expected, as he'll be doing voiceover work for MyRISE, but we don't yet know if that'll mean every single version of Foley is a playable character.
WWE 2K24 Roster Reveal Prediction
While several superstars have now been shown, the complete WWE 2K24 roster reveal date has not been confirmed and is expected sometime in February 2024. With the WWE 2K24 release date set for March 8, 2024, we should see a series of reveals in the coming weeks.
They may stretch those reveals out, which has been done in the past, or opt for a big WWE 2K24 ratings reveal special like we saw for WWE 2K24. Additional WWE 2K24 trailers and deep dives into the various game modes in coming weeks will also likely reveal many other members of the roster.
New Characters Expected in WWE 2K24
While we haven't seen a huge influx of talent in the last year, a few names from the past and present could find their way into WWE 2K24. First, let's break down a few of the names who could be joining the WWE 2K24 roster.
Jade Cargill
After becoming one of the hottest rising stars in AEW, the inaugural TBS Champion who held that title for 508 days left the company and signed with WWE. While we've only seen her briefly so far, Cargill signed back on September 26 and may make it into the launch roster for WWE 2K24 or as a post-launch DLC.
CM Punk
If there was one name many thought would never return to WWE, it was CM Punk. After making a shocking appearance at Survivor Series, CM Punk is back and likely to join the WWE 2K24 roster. We have more here on whether he could be in the game at launch or included as post-launch DLC.
Lex Luger
It's often challenging to predict what the legends roster will look like each year, as many of these agreements are worked out behind the scenes with little fanfare. However, Luger signed a contract with the company earlier this year and has already been included in the WWE Mattel action figure reveals, making a WWE 2K24 arrival very possible.
Carlito
Believe it or not, Carlito hasn't been a part of this franchise since WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010. After making several appearances with the company this year, it seems Carlito is finally due back in the WWE 2K series.
Kairi Sane
The Pirate Princess left WWE a few years ago and has continued to build upon her legacy in Japan, but she may finally be back for the first time since WWE 2K20. While she'd likely need a rebuilt model, being in the game that recently means 2K probably have some aspects to work with like her existing moveset and animations.
Nia Jax
Another surefire return, Nia Jax returned to the company earlier this year and has continued to be a staple of the women's division. Last seen in WWE 2K22, Jax is another who likely has existing assets that 2K can use to speed up the work in getting her back on the roster.
Pat McAfee
We've seen more and more that the recent WWE 2K installments love adding celebrity competitors like Logan Paul and Bad Bunny. The next best choice seems to be WWE commentator and occasional in-ring performer, as former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee could be due to add WWE 2K24 to his existing video game resume of Madden appearances.
Honorable Mention
Not every name is quite as certain or has gotten the same fanfare, but there are several stars around WWE who could make the cut. Smaller level main roster stars and NXT superstars who could make the WWE 2K24 roster also include:
- Xyon Quinn
- Tegan Nox
- Von Wagner
- Sanga
- Odyssey Jones
- Maxxine Dupri
- Lyra Valkyria

We'll keep an eye on any news about models being worked on and development to keep things updated on who is expected to be a part of the WWE 2K24 roster.
