NHL 24 Controls Guide, Gameplay Engine Gets New Features
After several years of a relatively similar system, the NHL 24 controls saw a big revamp this year as Skill Stick becomes a way of the past and Total Control is the new standard offensive option. Players who are used to Skill Stick from NHL 23 and before will still have the option to use it, but we recommend at least trying out Total Control in NHL 24.
The primary difference will be with the face buttons, as Total Control maps both offensive and defensive skill moves to the face buttons. This aims to make toe drags, between-the-legs shots, one-handed tucks, and lacrosse shots less complex and more achievable with the NHL 24 controls.
