NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — The City of Nampa has announced Christmas tree recycling that will start on Monday, according to a press release from the Office of Mayor Debbie Kling.
Drop-off will be available at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th St N, from Dec. 26 to Jan. 15.
Residents are asked to follow directional signs on Weamer Lane for the drop-off location at the compost site within the cemetery. Staff is available to answer questions during regular business hours by calling 208-468-5890.
Due to Kohlerlawn Cemetery funeral service schedules, residents are asked to only leave trees at the dedicated drop-off site and not at the cemetery office or cemetery shop.
Trees must be free of stands, lights, ornaments, tinsel and other objects. The trees will be mulched and used throughout Nampa on walking paths and in tree wells.
