It has been very interesting watching the evolution of the supercar segment over the past two decades. For the most part, this period has provided a boon for the automotive industry while creating a much more competitive environment. This in turn has really driven innovation and investment in the supercar space, leading to a higher standard and greater selection of products.

Now, the supercar experience is accessible to a larger and more diverse demographic than ever before. While exotic automobiles still remain relatively expensive today, their exponentially improved performance, build quality, dependability and utilitarianism is justifiably drawing in more customers.

As a customer, this has been nothing short of a positive experience - and one that seems to keep getting better every year. Gone are the days when supercars were few and far between, outrageously expensive, predictably unreliable, and very costly to maintain. No longer is owning a supercar only practiced by the uber wealthy, or for borderline automotive masochists - it has become just as enticing for the pragmatists out there, too.

With respect to supercars and exotics, 2021 continues the streak of ushering in another year full of optimism and excitement. It does not appear that the challenges of 2020 have stunted any of the momentum from recent years, as we are (or will be) treated to some new and groundbreaking automobiles this calendar year.

All the major players in this space have kept their supercar lineups feeling fresh, with the likes of Audi, Ferrari and Lamborghini providing mild updates and new trims - such as the Audi R8 RWD - to their range. It’s exciting times at Maserati, Mercedes-Benz and even Lotus, with brand new models like the MC20 set to debut in 2021. At the time of writing, Porsche is generating the most fanfare; the new 992 GT3 was just unveiled, with the 992 GT3 RS and 718 Cayman GT4 RS on the horizon.

Here is a list of all the brand new supercars and exotics you can purchase in 2021.
