I'd look a slavic nicknames (e.g. xasha, sveta) for others, maybe even to the point of adding -itchka or -inka as a term or endearment. As for kobolds, I hear their speach discribed a yippy, so I'd go for one-sylable names with no sbilants and a had ending. E.g. Gark, Skak, Vert, Bip, Bart (have to have the occasional humorous crossover name).
